he navigation bar has been turned into modern art by Firefox for some reason. I guess I'll have to spend a touch more time trying to understand what non-standards-compliant CSS I've been up to there…

And now I notice that Firefox/Mozilla doesn't display placeHolder fields in text boxes (which should appear for the email and URL fields). I'm sure there must be an equivalent, no?

Sigh… the name and date fonts are too small and the "peanut gallery" heading is on the wrong side… Ugh. Who knows what this site looks like on a WinIE browser.

While fixing up a lot of little problems that the w3c validator has found, I eventually got the navigation and some other tiny things fixed. That said, the validator has many more things to complain about. At least the results are fairly consistent.

Almost. Within 1 error of validating, thanks to the good people at Insomnia®.

Sorry, but at least now (22:18 In Europe and using Firefox) there is no search bar at all. Archives and Status are, at least, on the same line. And yes, the peanut gallery is on the left, and with safari last night it was on the right. or the rhs, if you prefer that sort of terminololology

Also, the I think on the main blog page in safari the top horizontal line for the blog entry only extended until the picture, but now it extends behind the picture and fully to the rhs of the blue entry rectangle.

I temporarily took the search bar down. It was non-functional as of yet anyway. I'll check on that other problem…

I see the effect on the horizontal line going behind the picture. I was actually kinda happy with that. Perhaps I should see it in other browsers…

Ok, so it seems that the legend ("peanut gallery") cannot be given alignment in FF. And I fixed up the datetime font so that FF can read it.
